Treating my lungs to Liechtenstien

vaduz-castle.jpgWell…

My last post Lung Disease ( gutterd ) didn’t really come as a shock at the time with the specialist.

It kinda hit me this morning unfortunatly just as my daughter walked through the door.

My daughter was trying so hard to be brave for me,she hurts when I cry as I do when she does.I was just having a moment and wondering just how much my lifestyle will have to change. Not that I have much of a life style I have to say. Smiling.

I know who ever reads this post and my last one will really get on my case when I say this.

BUT!!

I really don’t want to give up smoking. I’m not one of these women that want to give up smoking. I love smoking.

ANYWAY!!!

A moment of maddness or!! 20 hours staring at the sky brought me to thinking maybe I should treat my lungs.

I’m taking them to Liechtenstien. It’s a small country between Switzerland and Austria.I booked a flight and a log cabin in the mountains with a jacoozi just .I go next Friday and come back Sunday. Not long I know.Long enough tho. :)

OH!!!

What have I just done.

NO!! NO!! NO!! I’ll be okey. I need a break.

Liechtenstein has an area of 160 square kilometers, inhabited by almost 35,000 people (2004). It borders Switzerland in the south and west and Austria in the east and north. The total length of its borders is 75 kilometers.

Liechtenstein is the fourth smallest country of Europe, after the Vatican City, Monaco, and San Marino. Its population is primarily ethnic Alemannic, although its resident population is approximately one third foreign-born, primarily German speakers from the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, and the Swiss Confederation, other Swiss, Italians, and Turks. Foreign-born people make up two-thirds of the country’s workforce. Nationals are referred to by the plural: Liechtensteiners.

Liechtenstein is one of the few countries in the world to have no army; defense is the responsibility of Switzerland

The Principality of Liechtenstein is a tiny, landlocked country tucked away between Switzerland and Austria and with mountain slopes rising above the Rhine valley. Liechtenstein seems to be the forgotten corner of Europe; tucked in between Switzerland and Austria, this beautiful country is often overlooked, despite being more than a fair match for its neighbours.

In the summer, hikers and cyclists can traverse the stunning mountain ranges or valleys, while in winter these same areas offer skiing, ice skating and sledging.

Pretty villages with quaint chapels dot the land, while the capital Vaduz, with its stunning hill-top castle, has plenty of history, and shops, to explore.

With its intrinsic links to Switzerland and low tax, Liechtenstein’s population is one of the most prosperous in the world, so you won’t be the only one smiling when you’re there.
Ski at Malbun (1,600m/5,250ft) and Steg (1,300m/4,250ft). At Malbun, there are several ski lifts and a natural ice rink. Steg has a sledge run as well as its famous cross-country skiing loop with three distances (4km/2.5 miles, 12km/7 miles and 12.5km/7.8 miles).

Hike from Gaflei, at 1,500m (4,920ft), the starting point for the Fürstensteig – a path along the high ridge dividing the Rhine and Samina valleys.

Cycle in the valleys and lower-lying areas; there are 96km (56 miles) of cycling trails on both sides of the River Rhine. Mountain bikers may also use the hiking trails.

Paraglide over the mountains.

YAY!!!

Sorted all this out and wrote this post in an hour. Hehe!! DA girl’s a fast mover when she wants to be. Blissful, log fire, log cabin, sauna and jacoozi and just try my hand at a little bit of ski ing. The natural Ice ring will be a must.

The air.the peace, the snow and the feeling of the unknown is exciting me. The mountains. OMG!! The mountains.

Smiles&Fresh Air.

Diane  :)

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings, nature’s peace will flow into you,as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms, their energy while cares will drop off like Autumn leaves.

  1. The reality is…….

Most days I’ve not had much energy to breath never mind move. I think ski ing is out, maybe I was getting to carried away with myself.

    HOWEVER!!!!!

Paragliding over the mountains. Paragliding will be a totally new experience for me. How do you think my lungs will feel? I’m wondering if that will be a bit to much for them. You know… The altitude or what ever it is. For sure the experience in itself will take my breath but I don’t want the added pressure of altitude ( issues ) and breathing. Hehe!!! I don’t think I’ll feel to clever if I can’t breath and start to panic way up in the sky and mountains on my own.

    HA!!!

I can see me sat in the Jacozzi all day smoking. AR!!! What are the odd’s. HA!! Working my money out for duty free tabacco. Shit Man!! I’m so naughty.

NO!!! Diane. This is a positive, productive trip. The trip is for your lungs and not for your selfish self.

ARGH!!! Shut it Miss Proper. I’m Mutli Tasking. Hehe!!!

I better go and get coffeee before that women’s committe meeting in my head starts. I can feel all the proper ladies up there pointing fingers at me. I’m just sticking two fingers up at them. hehe!!!

    Smiles&Breath.
