Moon River and Me.
Audrey Hepburn –
I’ve been playing this song such a lot just recently. I’ve kinda got that wanting to explore the world again. I’m so thankful that this feeling has resurfaced, the desire of wanting to explore, wanting adventures and actually wanting to live a full life as I know I can again.
I have a few assiocations with this beautiful song. I was off to see the world. Just Sweet sixteen. Just left school and I was off. Magic bus from London to Lisbon in Portagual - 28 quid, bargin I thought.
My friend and I hitched from Lisbon to the somewhere in the Algarve in a worn out camper van with two men and Moon River was playing on their tape recorder. What a moment my friend and I had. Sat in the back of this camper van. we just looked at each other and smiled. We were off to see the world. Aww!! Such a lovely memory.
Another experience was in Mexico. I was at by a blue lagoon somewhere, can’t even remember where it was now, in a hammock watching parrot fish and a Mexican man came and serinaded me with Moon River in broken Spanish,Mexican,English with such a wierd, wondeful, banjo type thingy he was playing. I don’t feel able to describe the beauty at the moment, for sure I’m feeling it. The sun was just setting, making a colour so peaceful. I don’t think I’ll ever see that again. The moon was upside down. It was amazing.
OH!!
What wonderful memories and moments and I want more. I’ve got the travel bug. YAY!! Well actually I think I’ve got a bit more than that, I’m going to plan tho and save up. I want to see the world, there’s such a lovely world to see. So much beauty.
Moon river, wider than a mile
I’m crossing you in style some day
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you’re goin’, I’m goin’ your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There’s such a lot of world to see
We’re after the same rainbow’s end, waitin’ ’round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me
(moon river, wider than a mile)
(I’m crossin’ you in style some day)
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you’re goin’, I’m goin’ your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There’s such a lot of world to see
We’re after that same rainbow’s end, waitin’ ’round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me
Not many lyric’s I know but there all the lyric’s I need at the moment.
Isin’t Audrey Hepburn so very beautiful. Pure. I have good friend Kate who looks very similar. I’m always sit in awe of her beautiful and graceful swiftful movements.
Just rambeling and listening to beautiful songs, dreaming and making plans in my head . Just sharing my love and my memories in the way I do.
Ho Ho Ho!!! or SHIT SHIT SHIT!!!
Got my appoitment at the stop smoking clinc at 2.30. I daren’t tell you world how much I have sat and smoked here writing two posts I have been writing, listening to moon river on repeat mode. You beter believe I’m getting my smoking in. I’m so scared. But Hey ! Not to wory. It’s actually nothing in comparison to what I’ve had to endure in this life time.
It actually feels a bit strange as I’m usually at this time in the flows of my writing and forget I have a son the needs to get ready and prepared for school. I don’t have to get him up and ready for a while now.
He’s left school and just sat 11 exams. Well done Jack. Congratulations. To us both actually. WHOO HOO!!
Maybe I’ll take Our Jack to go and see the world. There’s such a lot of world to see.
X
Always loving – try to

Di,
I’d love nothing more than to have a cup of coffee with you, should you ever drop by California. We could go to the beach and have seashells braided into our hair, eat organic salads and drink expensive coffee concoctions – forget the sunscreen then bemoan our sunburns. Does that sound like a rip snortling time?
Love
Annie

There’s such a lovely world to see and such lovely great women to meet. Women who are friends.
I would nothing more than drifting with you at the beach, Huckle berry friends aww!! sea shells braided in my hair. I feel all romantic. Aww!! How lovely.
We could chat and laugh so much and yes ! drink expensive coffee and eat salad. I want to say we could smoke together, but I doubt that I will be smoking when the times comes that I find myself in Calafonia. I don’t think you smoke – do you.
I used to day dream to a song by Man fred Man . It was called Calafonia – I think.
Thank-you for being my friend and I will look out for you in Calafonia and if your in the UK for sure find me.
Smiles & Love
